Right now, I'm sitting on my screened in back patio, with our dog on my lap, drinking sweet tea. He's listening to the gossip of the neighborhood dogs, I'm surfing the web, and listening to a baseball game echoing from a local park. I'm a tiny bit overheated, likely due to the many layers of winter clothing I'm wearing out of habit, and just stuck a bug safely on the screen because the dog tried to eat it. The sky is blue, and the moon is huge and a pale pink color, sitting not far above the horizon. The pastels in the sky contrast sharply with the black silhouettes of the trees, the birds are eating from our new supposedly squirrel proof bird feeder, and the deep tones of a wind chime are softly making themselves heard. Here I sit, writing out my simple thoughts, my surroundings, sketching for those poor souls reading a vague image of the scene in which I find myself. Here I sit, writing, while I think of my grandparents deep in the south, likely sitting on their screened in porch, sipping sweet tea and eating greens grown from their garden, with Granny swatting mosquitos and Papa telling her to stop fussing about. I write and remember the last time we visited, when we spent days shelling peas on that very porch, which I had to write a poem about for school which turned out less than satisfactory, or at least I found it so. The moon is rising now, as the sun sets, and the lights are turned on over the baseball field, shining through the trees in the distance. And still here I sit, writing away, switching back and forth from a word document holding an important essay for admission to an academic society, and onenote holding this very rambling. I also spent some time writing comments on various blogs and other realms of the internet, all the while putting off that oh so important essay. While my parents went inside to watch a movie, here I sat, writing questions for a friend on formspring because I was upset with how an anonymous individual was treating them. It seems that's all I've done today, write write write… and reminisce about pleasant moments of the past, and sit in awe of God's creation, excited for the coming of spring which will be none too soon. And now the sky is black, and I am alone, with a small lamp and a laptop, the air now cold. The crickets are chirping, the baseball game is now over, the dogs are starting to quiet down. My mother comes and says goodnight-and still, outside, I sit and write.

Write Your Heart Out Wednesday is a new weekly meme being hosted by Laurea over at Center Stage, and the topic this week was 'writing'. I'm planning on participating each week, though my posts may come a bit late depending on when I find time to write; today is a perfect example :). I hope this didn't bore you-it was actually kind of fun for me :). Anyway, if you want to participate, head on over and check out the guidelines! Until next time,

Ah yes, Formspring. I created a Formspring account so someone who looked at my Flickr photostream could ask me (photography-related) questions, but no questions were asked (even though I also have a link on my blog).
I see you have a new profile icon - still no a photo of yourself? Muse - haha, what a surprise. :)
Get well soon (if you aren't better yet)!
Raja-man, sorry about the blonde moment that caused me to not understand such a straightforward comment. I fail. Thanks so much for reading and commenting though :D. And lol, I actually stomped on it trying to A) end its misery and B) get the dog to back off. Even though it wasn't moving, he still wanted to play with it, so I got the indestructible little critter away from him, and it happily began climbing our screen :).
And Max, I checked your blog's main page's sidebar for your formspring, and didn't see it-I've now gone back and see it on another page. It may just be me, but I always check the sidebar-maybe if you added a widget you'd get a little more traffic from your readers? I don't know, just throwing it out there :).
Yep, still no photo of myself... I'm not sure if I'll have my face as my profile pic any time soon, but I think I'll post pictures occasionally and have been considering a vlog, so I'm not totally hiding-just taking my time and trying to be smart (raised by a paranoid woman who has instilled, to a certain extent, that very paranoia in me… lol). Oh, SURPRISE!!!! xD lol, yeah... Muse has the best album art (in addition to amazing music). You'd laugh at my formspring background (made it myself: http://www.formspring.me/dragonflight). I'm feeling a lot better now, thanks! :D. Not 100%, but I'm not puking and can walk without collapsing, and my appetite is coming back :).
P.S. You noticed I changed my profile pic, and I did for a reason-I'm about to change almost everything for spring! New template, a signature, new button, rewriting my 'about me' section to make it something that isn't completely lame, etc. :D. I'm kind of excited about it-just waiting until everything is finished to follow through with the makeover. Plus, Showbiz's art is just amazing (as is Map of the Problematique, currently in my sidebar, and Butterflies and Hurricanes, which will soon be in my sidebar). I'm also sticking a formspring widget in my sidebar, which is one reason I got an account. Sshh, this is top secret though ;).
I'm looking forward to the following posts :)
And thank you Shaynie! It was very much a lazy day ^_^. I'm glad that you can picture it... I was really hoping to paint the scene, even though I didn't deliberately work for it or go into details :).

Hope this post didn't totally bore ya! :D. I love my commenters, because I value your opinion and love to hear your thoughts! So, what do you think? :)
