Kreativ Blogger Award

(this post was written three days ago)

Ten thousand years ago, I was awarded by Kenzie of Soul! This award is called the Kreativ Blogger Award!

The rules are simple-tell ten random facts about yourself, then pass it on to ten blogs you always read! Here I go…

1 - My favorite pairs of shoes are my converse chuck taylor all stars with double uppers, and my black high-heeled boots. I like converse and I like high heels. Deal.
2 - I have never had a Red Bull or a Monster, but I LOVE the Monster logo xD.
3 - If there is a camel cricket crawling on a wall, and someone is afraid, I will grab that camel cricket in my hands and walk away and throw it. Apparently, some girls call that brave once they feel safe again. You're welcome.
4 - Queso makes me SO selfish. I do NOT want to share Queso. I want my own jar, and my own bag of Tostitos, and leave. Me. Alone.
5 - I'm working on cleaning my room, something that hasn’t been done in many, many, many months.
6 - I don't handle forward guys very well. When they make assumptions, I react poorly (like giving my # to this dude because he was smart enough not to ask, but to whip out a pen and say "I'm assuming it starts with (area code)?" and look up at me sheepishly, and I didn't wanna lie, so I said yes, and wound up giving him my #. Dumb.). When asked a direct question, I respond better. Like, 'will you go out with me?' or 'can I have your phone number?'-those can be easily answered with 'no' :D.
7 - My white shirt that says 'Angel' on it is hanging next to my black shirt that is covered in skulls. Can you tell I'm sitting in front of my closet as I write this?
8 - I was 100% against e-readers until I got the new Kindle as a graduation gift. I LOVE it. Already read Wither, The Running Dream, and started on Divergent :D.
9 - My Hawaiian name is Elikapeka.
10 - I still use physical CD's to listen to music in my room. Right now, it's Relient K's 5 Score and 7 Years ago (felt a bit sentimental today).

I'm proud of myself for thinking of ten things! How Kreativ of me! xD LOL sorry. So, now to award ten blogs I always read (though sometimes REALLY late, I never delete):

1 - A Selection of Varied Topics by Bethany
2 - Not Much of Importance by Max
3 - That's So Diabolical by Steph
4 - Thrive by Lauren
5 - As Told by JinnyD (by Jinny D!)
6 - Farmgirl Writes by Amanda
7 - The Book Blog by Shaynie (now that I've got more free time, I'm allowing myself to read reviews! YAY!)
8 - Pandora by Stephanie
9 - Outside Into Life by Antonia
10 - My Thoughts in One by Lia (sorry I've been absent lately-I got a little confused with the name change and haven't been online too much-will catch up soon!)

Also, Soul by Kenzie, the amazing blogger who granted me this award! And if your blog isn't listed, doesn't mean I don't read it-I just picked the first ten that occurred to me ;). Can't wait to hear ten facts about all of you!

Awarded by Stephanie! :D

I just got awarded by Stephanie over at Pandora :D! The award is called The Butterfly Award, and I do love butterflies :).

So how this works is you share something about yourself, and then pass it on to some of the coolest blogs you follow. So, what am I going to say about myself? I don't know, something random... oh, I can't ride a bike without warring horrifically with my subconscious. I overthink everything, so when I'm riding a bike and try to control every movement, I'm all jerky and unbalanced, and my body goes rigid. I can only ride well when I just allow myself to ride on instinct, but it is so hard to get myself to that place mentally/emotionally, that for a long time when I first start riding I'm all stressed out trying to tell my brain to shut the heck up. Once I finally CHILL, I'm a good rider (and LOVE to ride), it's just ridiculously difficult for me to get there! And the littlest disturbance takes me back to the freak out zone, and I have to make myself chill all over again. We went bike riding when we were at the beach, and while actually ON the beach I chilled pretty easy, but riding on the bike paths next to the street with lots of other bikers stressed me out, which is STUPID. Haha, I'm seriously mental. On to the seven awesome blogs I'm awarding (partly cause seven is my favorite number)!

-Lauren from Thrive, for being an open minded, unique, intelligent individual with great taste in music :).
-Amanda from Farmgirl Writes, for being generally awesome and a faithful friend, even though I don't respond to emails in a remotely timely manner :).
-Shaynie from The Book Blog, for being such a sweetheart and one of my most faithful commenters, and for running a fabulous review blog!
-Ayla from To Walk Barefoot, for being such an inspiration to me and all others who read her blog. Please people, go check her out-her words have great worth and power.
-Hunger Games Lover for her Hunger Games Lovers' Informational Blog-the single best source for all the new and confirmed information on the Hunger Games movie! She's the reason I've got the coolest summer job ever this year :D. Plus, she seems like a really awesome person in general! :).
-Antonia, for inspiring me to cut down on the number of blogs I follow and for being a really sincere person. And she lives in Austria and speaks perfect English. It is mind-bogglingly impressive.
-Max, a talented photographer and kind hearted guy, for being a guy and still following my blog, and being a cool enough guy for me to be pleased and not bothered by you following my blog. Yes, that repetition was intentional xD. Lol.

Can't wait to hear the random things about all of you xD. Thanks Stephanie for the award and for following! :D.

Awarded by Bleah!

The Versatile Blogger Award!

The Rules:

1. Thank and link back to who gave you the award.
Thanks Bleah :D!

2. Share 7 things about yourself.
1. On the 18th I'll be 18 years old.
2. Music is one of the things that has helped me make it to 18, and some of my favorite bands are Muse, The Cranberries, Queen, Skillet, Flyleaf, Paramore, and I just realized you can see a longer list of my favorite music on my profile, so this list isn't necessary… whoops.
3. I absolutely love to read, and read very quickly when I actually sit down and do it, but I haven't read much at all in the past couple months (which is tragic, for me).
4. When I go to college, I hope to learn more about biochemistry and biochemical engineering, and see if that is a career path I'm passionate about.
5. Respect, from me, must always be earned and be mutual. I don't respect someone because of their station-that someone is going to have to earn it, and treat me with some form of respect as well, or they can forget about it.
6. I have two geckos, one cat, and we just got a puppy (which is supposed to be my mom's). The geckos are Spaz and Greco, my lovely cat is named Angel (which is appropriate, she is so sweet), and the puppy is named Peanut.
7. And… I'm not sure what else to say? Lol, there we go: I stink at just talking about myself without some kind of prompt or springboard or direct question or something.

3.Pass it along to 7 bloggers who have recently commented on your blog. (I'm pulling up my comments list, and going from the most recent down-but if you've commented on ANY of my posts, consider yourself a recipient, okay? I appreciate you all equally!)
1. Shaynie
2. Antonia
3. Jinnyd
4. Leanna
5. Bleah already has it, because she gave it to me! :D lol
5. Camellia Day
6. Maximillian
7. Raja-Man

4. Leave the recipients a comment, telling them about the award. I'll try to leave a comment for you all, but the medicine I'm on right now is making me freakishly sleepy and dizzy(it just kicked in), so I'll do what I can. Thankfully, you all follow, so you can prolly see it without being told :). Talk to you all later, thanks for reading,

Giveaway + Kendra's Scavenger Hunt + Some Books!

Hey everybody! Stephanie from Stephanie's Saga is having a giveaway! The prize? Any item $11 and under from Violet Reaction! (that is over 72 items to choose from!). It is really easy to enter, and if you DO choose to enter (or even if you don't), please head on over to her blog and let her know in a comment I sent you :).

The scavenger hunt (created by Kendra of Carpe Diem) has now passed, and my searching for clues all though the night payed off! I managed to get 1st place!

Bleah from With Love and Kisses created this, and I think she did a wonderful job :).

In other news, while I was volunteering at the library book sale (mentioned briefly here) I bought some new (for me) books! The hardbacks were 50¢, and the paperbacks and children's books were only 25¢, and after 2pm you could get as many books as you could stuff in a grocery bag for $2! I ended up with a nice 12 books, and while I could have gotten more, I was in a hurry to get home and change for work :-P. I read the summaries of all of these, and they sounded decent, so I'll see!

The one I'm most interested in reading right now is Ambergate, by Patricia Elliot. The snippet on the back gave me goosebumps and sucked me right in!

Plus, I love this cover :). The other book I'm interested in is The Graveyard Book, which I've heard positive things about :). Most of these were snagged from the juvenile fiction section, but the bottom two are different. I loved taking philosophy last year, and two years before that, and so when I saw a book on Neitzche I was very intrigued. It is fiction mixed with some facts, and is a blend of philosophy and psychoanalysis.
Also, one of the colleges I'm currently considering is Wake Forest University, so when I saw a book on the development of the medical school, I had to get it :D. The only problem with having all these books is WAITING to read them. I have lots of homework and we're about to leave for vacation and I'm feeling sick... really sick. I had to call out of work this morning :(. However, once I'm done with cleaning house and packing and get some homework done, I think I'll actually get to read for fun!!! And now, I have some books to choose from :). Can't wait to dig in! Are any of you familiar with any of these books? And what about those prices? :D.

Thanks for reading,

In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying..."
